Bardock: The Legendary Super Saiyan

Last summer was published (in three chapters) a special focused on Bardock (the father of Goku, in Dragon Ball), "The Episode of Bardock" (the father of Goku, Dragon Ball) by Ooishi Naho (and supervised by Toriyama) in V-Jump magazine. Spoilers ahead.- In the story, continuing with what was told at the Bardock special, but instead of dying with the rest of the Vegeta planet, and for some strange reason, he travels to the past, where the planet Vegeta was not yet inhabited by the Saiyans and it was called Plant (inhabited by small beings). Without going further, an ancestor of Frieza appears (he is called "Chilled") and Bardock has to face and eventually transform himself into a Super Saiyan warrior, becoming the legendary Saiyan feared by Frieza's family. Last month, the manga was adapted into anime (you could see on the website of Bandai), and it has exactly the same story as the manga published in the summer.

It can be considered as a What if, or just simply enter into the chronology of the manga-anime without changing much, but it is curious to watch it.
