Captain Marvel, Protector of the Universe (XII): El Capitán Marvel de Gary Friedrich, Frank Springer y Tom Sutton (Captain Marvel 13-15)

La semana que viene ya empezará a ponerse más interesante y aparecerá Rick Jones. Los números de hoy probablemente sean los más flojos de toda la vida de Mar-Vell.-

Captain Marvel 13, ¿Traidores o Héroes?.-

“El Homicida” vuelve a reactivarse. Mar-Vell intenta disfrazarse para poder moverse por la Tierra hasta que consiga vengarse de Yon-Rogg, aunque escucha en la radio el nuevo ataque del robot por lo que volverá a ponerse su traje Kree para proteger el Cabo, aún se siente unido a los humanos. Por lo que vuelve a enfrentarse al “homicida” aunque los humanos, en vez de ayudarle también le atacan a él. Por ello decide ir a la nave Kree, y allí se enfrenta a Yon-Rogg dejándolo gravemente herido, aunque no lo remata porque ve desde la nave que Carol Danvers va a ser asesinada por “el Homicida”, así que coge un arma Kree lo suficiente potente y vuelve  la Tierra para acabar con el robot, cosa que consigue.


Traitors or Heroes.-

"The Manslayer" starts to restar itself. Mar-Vell tries to disguise himself in order to be able to have a life on Earth until he gets revenge on Yon-Rogg, but he hears on the radio about a new robot attack so he puts on his Kree suit again to protect the Cape,  he still feels attached to the humans. Therefore, he returns to confront the "Manslayer" while some humans instead of try to help him they attack Mar-Vell. So he decides to go to the Kree ship, and there he faces Yon-Rogg leaving him gravely injured, though not too serious injuries because he sees from the ship that Carol Danvers is going to be killed by the robot, so he grabs a Kree weapon, now he is ready to destroy the manslayer and he finish it.

La historia comienza justo al final de los acontecimientos del número 13, Marvel ha vencido al “Homicida”, pero el ejercito le está apuntando, aunque se haya comportado heroicamente llevaba semanas en busca y captura por el robo de un cohete, Carol Danvers es la única que se interpone entre las armas y el héroe Kree y la única que cree en él. El Amo de las marionetas controla a Iron-man para que mate al Capitán Marvel (esta historia forma parte de una triología que empieza en el Sub-mariner 14 y termina en el  Avengers 64) y después destruir la base del Cabo para proteger la base espacial de Cabeza de Huevo. Mar-Vell vence a Iron-man (que sufre un infarto aunque se recupera), aunque poco después es reclamado por Zo(quien ahora se manifiesta como una especie de estrella), debe cumplir su parte del trato y realizar una misión para Zo en su planeta natal.

While a galaxy beckons!.-

Mar-Vell has defeated the "Manslayer", but the army is aiming him, even he has behaved heroically, it took weeks to search and arrest him for the theft of a rocket. Carol Danvers is the only one standing between the weapons and the Kree hero and the only one who believes in him. The Master of puppets is controlling Iron-man to kill Captain Marvel (This story is part of a trilogy that begins in Sub-Mariner 14 and ends in the Avengers 64) and then destroy the base of the Cape to protect the base of Egghead out in the space. Mar-Vell defeats Iron-man (who has a heart attack but who recovers before the end of this issue), but soon after is claimed by Zo (who now appears as a kind of star), he must fulfill his part of the deal and he has a mission in his home planet.

Antes de comenzar su misión, Mar-Vell le pide a Zo saber más de él. Zo le muestra unas visiones, en una de ellas Mar-Vell se ve a si mismo destruyendo su propio planeta. Durante un rato Mar-Vell ve una serie de visiones-alucinaciones. Al final Zo le cuenta a Marv su misión. Kree-Lar, su planeta natal y capital de la galaxia kree, debe ser destruído. Tam-Bor, Dios pagano de los desiertos de Kree-Lar, es una amenaza, su ídolo es la mayor pila magnética y ejerce su fuerza sobre otros planetas, y si no es destruido podría alterar la órbita de los planetas y provocar el fin. Mar-Vell intenta buscar una forma de no destruir el planeta, pero Zo le dice que la fuente del poder del ídolo es el mismo corazón del planeta.

Mar-Vell se teletransporta a Rad-Nam, su ciudad natal, allí lo reconocen (Yon-Rogg entre los soldados que lo reconocen) y comienza a dispararle aunque según las ordenes de Ronan deben atraparlo vivo. Mar-Vell se deja capturar para hacerse con una nave y se dirige en la busqueda del ídolo pagano de Tam-Bor. De camino se encuentran con la nave de guerra de los seguidores Tam-Bor. El Capitán se deja atrapar...

That Zo might live...a galaxy must die! .-

Before starting his mission, Mar-Vell asks Zo to know more about him. Zo shows him visions, in one of them, Mar-Vell sees himself destroying his own planet. For a while Mar-Vell is still seeing a series of visions, hallucinations. At the end Zo tells Marv his mission. Kree-Lar, his homeworld and capital of the Kree galaxy, must be destroyed. Tam-Bor, a pagan god of Kree-Lar deserts, is a threat, his idol is the largest magnetic cell and exerts its force on other planets, and if it is not destroyed it could alter the orbit of the planets and bring the end of the kree galaxy. Mar-Vell tries to find a way to avoid destroying the planet, but Zo tells him that the source of the power of Tam-Borl is the heart of the planet itself.

Mar-Vell teleports to Rad-Nam, his hometown, there, he is recognized (Yon-Rogg among other soldiers who recognize him) and dome soldiers start to shoot him but it seems that Ronan has ordered to catch him alive. Mar-Vell allows them to capture the ship where he was flying to defeat them from inside of the ship and goes in search of the pagan idol of Tam-Bor. In his way he encounters the warship of the followers of  Tam-Bor. The captain gets caught ...
